Dear Mrs. Jones,

I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer.
I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture doesn't show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot.
From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.

Field Trip to the Farm

We went to the farm today and had a wonderful time. The kids got to see real live farm animals, ride on a tractor pulled wagon, eat homemade ice cream and take home a pumpkin. They had a great time. As you can see, on the bus ride home many kids fell asleep. We discovered that being on a farm is HARD work!

FINALLY...

The past couple of weeks have been terrible! I don't know if it was all the sickness, my "new" assistant, full moon, me or what but my class was not a happy place to be. Yesterday, we had the best day EVER!!!!! I think the curse is finally broken LOL Today was good, too. We have been talking a lot about germs, sickness, covering our sneezes and so forth. Then the news came that we had to submit a science project. I decided to do the cool project about germs, hand washing and such. We put this "special" lotion on our hands to simulate germs. We looked at our hands under a black light. GROSS! The kids freaked out but it was so cool. We then washed our hands and took another look under the light. Most kids thought that they'd washed their hands really good but the germs still showed up under the black light. It really got the message across that hand washing is more than just a quick rinse.
